Carphone warehouse contacted me about upgrade

Yesterday I received a call from a Belfast number yesterday and they said they are calling on behalf of carphone warehouse.Then they said you are eligible for an upgrade.i asked how did they get my details cause I always deal with o2 direct and they couldn't answer me.Then they tried to offer me a phone.i said I can get it cheaper elsewhere and they said sure you can return it within 14 days!i said I'm nit interested.wouldnt get the hint.Who handed my details out?I never agreed for details to be passed to a third party.

It certainly wasnt like that a couple of weeks ago as I took a picture to show a poster where to look...Evil @Toby when did this change take place and why weren't we warned?

Explains why I've been bombarded with calls for the past 2/3 weeks.
I'm mad about this as I am very careful as to who gets my number and O2 have now sent it to the world!

I have now turned them all OFF except Priority....(possibly too late...as this is why I have been getting marketing calls recently)

This is quite outrageous and a serious misuse of our personal data. No doubt O2 made a fortune out of this, they must really be desperate for money after the failure of the Three deal. To say I'm angry is a massive understatement.

I'd be willing to bet that O2 will say that this was an error caused by a technical glitch. It will be their way out of admitting responsibility for this, or being held liable for their actions.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
