Help: photos on disk to laptop

I save the photos from my phone to disk at the local photo shop

it comes with a small thumbnail foto pix as an index of what's on disk

I'd like to transfer what's on disks (5 no. ish) to my laptop 

I know nothing about the above at all

anyone help, I'd be grateful]

I give kudos generally when I have learned something/been helped

& I was in this thread a lot

it was also there for others to view which they did

but I'm confused now as to where to begin my thread 'picture posting'

& you are all more experienced here on O2C than I am 

I like to give kudos (saying thank you) when I've been helped

but I don't wish to do anything wrong or inappropriate here

@Anonymous  Not only did you start a thread which was of interest to many...I would suggest that more than one person learnt a lot from it (I did for one)... so thank you for that.

I wonder if maybe @Toby  could advise tomorrow as to where your new thread should be posted?

If it was down to me, and as it follows on from this one...I would have thought it should be in this section...:smileywink:

to me its like this =

this is something I know about

but IT well you all know at what level I am

& btw there is no such thing as '2 left feet' in dancing 

but it helps greatly if you have a sense of rhythm

I have as op marked this subject as 'solution accepted' ..... for 2 reasons people viewing this subject can go straight to 'end game' ..... & ..... it is rather my ineptitute generally & I really am trying hard to acheive what I want ..... so ..... for the greater good & to save other peoples patience, op (me) marked thread as 'solution accepted'

..... however during my rather laboured following of good instructions on this thread, including screen shots .....

there is a pop 'notice' on my laptop which says something like .....

'you have files waiting to be burned to disk'

what does it mean please?

I've hear of the term before eg 'I'll burn a disk for you' ..... but I don't know what it means

..... = ..... must be something to do with me repeatedly getting so far with the disk, on who's pic my cat Marty is, I want to do so much with

am I a lost hope ? 

I am, in real life, made of stern stuff ..... = ..... comes with me being a Yorkshire woman

At some point during the copy processes you have attempted you have "labelled" some files to be saved in the computers memory to be copied to a disc.
When the pop up pops up, click it and it will open a window showing what these files are.
There will also be an option to delete them, which just removes them from memory and not from the PC.
