I have to say how much I love this thread...

So thanks @Anonymous for asking the question:smileywink:

My problem is laziness.. in that I leave my husband to do all this. (I always see him as 'techy').....and the old saying 'why have a dog and bark yourself' springs to mindLOL

However, I have followed this every step of the way...and love the screenshots provided by @jonsie and @MI5 ...It makes it SO much clearer.

So you may have asked the question Jane but I think another pupil has learnt something new.

(My husband will be so pleased). Thanks all

D drive is fine (it's just whichever is the DVD drive on your machine).
Once you have all the pictures showing as a list just go to "Organise" and then "Select All".
You can then either select "copy" and then navigate to the directory where you want to put them and select "Paste" or just simply drag them to the directory on your laptop.

Try this way, hope the instructions are easy to follow : Insert disc and click on computer.

1 Insert disc

Right click on the drive with your mouse and open.

2 Right click open

You should then see all the photos.

3 view photos

Click the view options and select large icons.

4 view photos and click view options

5 select large icons

Click on organise > select all > organise > copy.

6 select organise all copy

Go to libraries and open Pictures

7 library picture

Create new folder, name it what you would like and open it. Select organise and paste.

8create folder

I seem to be able to get the photos in thumbnail form from disk to screen but not permanently

I know I'm making heavy weather of this

closing down now as my head is buzzing
