Try this way, hope the instructions are easy to follow : Insert disc and click on computer.

1 Insert disc

Right click on the drive with your mouse and open.

2 Right click open

You should then see all the photos.

3 view photos

Click the view options and select large icons.

4 view photos and click view options

5 select large icons

Click on organise > select all > organise > copy.

6 select organise all copy

Go to libraries and open Pictures

7 library picture

Create new folder, name it what you would like and open it. Select organise and paste.

8create folder

When you put your disc in your laptop it should open up a window that displays the content of the disc.
From there you can highlight any or all of the photos and copy them to a directory on your laptop hard drive.
How many photos are on each disc?

I'd say on average 150

The easiest way would be to click on "Organize" at the top left of the pop up window and then click "select all".
Then click organize again and select "copy", navigate to your pictures folder on laptop then hover over the folder name, right click and select "paste".
This will copy everything off that disc to your picture folder.
Do the same for each disc, but note, if there are duplicated file names they will be overwritten so you might want to organise them by sub folders within your main picture folder.

Hi @MI5  just for information and to help @Anonymous in future...

Could this question actually be posted in one of the other technical sections ie Other Products and

Services?

Its not really off topic as such and as it IS technical it may help others browsing for similar advice?

Also in fairness to those who help it could then be marked as Solved (when it actually is):smileywink:

As MI5 may be busy maybe @Toby  could confirm this would be ok?

No, you don't need VLC player open so close this down.
If a windows explorer box doesn't pop up, double click on "computer" from your desktop and then double click on the CD/DVD drive listed under "devices with removable storage"
