Upgrade on us advice needed

Hello everyone, so today (06/10/17) I received a notification from the MyO2 app saying "Speed to refresh, login today and upgrade today. On us." So went through with the upgrade paid 59.99 towards the contract to make it less of a monthly payment, opted for click and collect as the contract is in my father's name, my dad text me to let me know he picked up the phone and I log back into myo2 later that day and it has gone down as a new line

I don't believe the answer I'm getting from customer service is good enough really, surely if it was a mistake and they sent it out to a number of customers they should have sent another notification apologising saying it was in error

Yeah they already have it, they had to many excuses for my liking first it was for another number then it was because it was sent out in error, I've sent a resolver request in hopefully it will be escalated

Unfortunately this whole thread has been taken off track by an incorrect assumption. 

As customers all we can advise you is to call customer service and make a complaint. 

I would also email the ceo’s office. 

You can find his email address on Google.

No assumption title of thread is “upgrade on us” o2 only offer that on yearly update
