Overcharged!!!

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have been over charged for my phone bill for my iphone 5c this month. My bill is usually 28 pounds per month. I was shocked to recieve a text message telling me that my phone bill, due to come out on the 19th of september is 113 pounds. I almost died. I admit I bought some data as my wifi was down but I was expecting my bill to be no more than 50 pounds. I checked my o2 account and it says I have 2.45 GB of data whereas I am only supposed to have 500 MB. I never changed my monthly plan, all I bought was 1GB of extra data for 9 pounds and that is literally it so I don't understand why my data allowance has changed to 2.45GB, can anyone help? I really don't have the money at ALL to pay for it and it just simply can't be right.

There will be a full breakdown of charges in your My O2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2
If you dispute any of them you need to call CS on 202 to discuss it with them.

If your data allowance isn't what you signed up for then you need to get this tariff reviewed. As @MI5 said, only CS can  sort this out for you

I didnt think O2 charged for going over a data allowance; just slowed it right down?

Maybe that it just for Business customers?

No, they don't, but as in this case you can buy an additional bolt on.
btw, data now stops completely. It no longer slows down.

It would have to be 10 additional bolt-ons in this case....is that even possible?

I doubt it.
Most likely other additional charges too or a billing error of some sort.

Like said above, contact cs on 202 as soon as possible to dispute this.

Are you sure you've not called any premium numbers or gone over your call limit?

Let us know what happens, it's an interesting one this.
