How can I stop one-off data bolt-on being added?

Hi

My niece has a phone that I pay the bill for. This month and last month she used her data allowance and I said she could have 1 500mb bolt-on. But when that data got used she has just gone ahead and added again.

Is there a way of stopping extra data being purchased? Or at least so it can only be added from this website.

Also wish I knew why she was using so much data. Her 750MB went in just a few days!

Thanks

Ian

Hi.

As far as I'm aware there is no way of restricting a bolt on being applied I'm afraid.

I assume she is using Myo2 ?

Change your passwords.

Some phones have usage specs to see what's using the data and their are some you can download.

Which phone is she using ?

I don't think that will stop here from texting the request. That will just prevent access to My O2.

Tell her to stop doing it without asking your permission. Does she have that much disrespect for you that she just does what she likes and you let her?

I've got to agree with what Bambino says.

She should respect what you ask as A Her Father , and B, The account holder.

Maybe taking the contract sim out of the phone and supplying her with a payg one if she continues may give the lesson needed.

It's a neice, bob, but it doesn't really matter. She needs to appreciate the value of what is being given to her, and not abuse it.
