awful o2 customer services and network services

i have been with o2 for many many years but i am finding that as per my subject, the network is appalling now and seems to be for others where i live. In fact it was at my previous address 20 miles away too. Are o2 not investing in upgrading their masts perhaps? And when i come on here to talk to someone, there is never anyone to talk to and when i finally get through its closed so clearly I was being ignored. Not the first time. Terrible. 

I intend to leave o2 now and wanted to find out if I can give 30 days notice on the data only but keep the phone bill going

You need to pay off the device plan before you can leave.

The airtime is free to cancel then.
