Hi guys,
As well as looking into beneficial changes on the the main community page's side bar (Of which you can find a discussion here), I'm also looking into content we can add here that will help members who are after advice on the most commonly searched topics. These change from time to time, but below are some that are fairly consistently searched:
- Unlocking you phone
- Obtaining a PAC code
- Upgrading your phone
- Voicemail
What I would like to do is to create these guides in collaboration with anyone here who would like to help create one on a popular subject, as it would be used by thousands of people and coming from a fellow member would make it really special. It could be a written guide, a video or anything else you can imagine.
I'll be handing some little rewards to those of you who would like to help and we have great potential to use these around the main O2 site itself (as well as the right-hand side navigation bar on the community front page), letting you contribute to the support pages of this giant network
Let me know if you're interested below, need some more information or if you think you could write a guide on a popular subject I've not included here.

toby the guides for most of those are already on the website and duplication could lead to errors.
Voice mail as an example http://www.o2.co.uk/support/generalhelp/howdoi/voicemail901;jsessionid=6e5c35cf9c408db71e71d7336b9e2...

Guide to lengthen ring tones here but still crops up many times. Perhaps a link?

Hi guys,
@Adam; You're right, but these ones will be on the community, by the community. Also, I can run them by the support knowledge team if needs be for accuracy. However, I showed some previous member-guides from the community and they were pretty impressed! There is also the possibility of using these guides as features on the support pages themselves. For me personally, a guide written by a peer is sometimes more welcoming. Also, you might be surprised at how many generic searches for O2 support show results for the community towards the top of Google, Bing etc, so it would be nice if there some guides for them to land on rather than a member's thread for example.
@ MI5; Go for it! If you need to get any info that might be helpful, let me know.
@jonsie; Thanks, that's a good one. I'll be adding that in. I'm not sure how exactly the guides/FAQs will look (as I aim to collate and re-design the current ones) or which ones I'll link on the community home page (or link as part of a broader Q&A). If you want to take a stab at one, go for it. I'll also collate every single one from the last year or so, so I can get a feel of which ones are still relevant (which will be most of them).
Have you guys seen any other regular questions that need a guide?

Hi Toby,
I have seen quite a few threads from new members in a pickle because they have actually started a new monthly contract, when they wanted to actually upgrade.
Theirs so many ways to go about this.
Maybe this warrants some form of a general guide.

Toby, do you want them on this thread, a separate individual thread or PM'ing to you....?
Hey MI5, create your own thread. That way I can use that as the linked guide. Thanks for getting involved
@bandofbrothers; That's a great idea. Would you like to have a go?
