So, about 9 this morning a courier arrived, asking about a parcel to goto Liverpool. Que?
About 12 o'clock we had a call to say our parcel had been delivered next door.! An O2 Parcel!!? A phone... and during that conversation we arranged to get it picked up in an hour. (We're still waiting at 17:00

Is it a sales tactic, send someone a phone and hope they'll just have it anyway? Is it worth getting arbitration over this because of the bad-business that we've been privy to?

Give us it for free and we'll have it, otherwise have it back

If you think you’ve been the victim of fraud – whether it’s because you’ve given details to someone over the phone, or clicked on a link in a suspicious text or email there are things you can do:

Contact your bank if you think you may have given out financial information. They can help protect your account and stop transactions.

Change your account and online account passwords. Not just your O2 account. All of them.

Forward fraudulent texts to O2 for free on 7726.

Contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.

Call your Virgin Media or O2 customer services number if you think somebody’s taken out a contract using your details.

Virgin Media customers can phone 150 from their landline or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone.

O2 customers can call 202 from their O2 phone or 0344 809 0202 from any other phone.

You can block the number that called you, or any number you think may be suspicious.

@Neal-Sullivan This is not O2. This is a customer community.

Are you an O2 customer? What is it that you want arbitrated?

It sounds as if someone is using your address to perpetrate a scam.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

I smell one big scam. The old fake courier trick.

Why was the phone delivered next door? Have you now got it? If so don't give it to anyone.

I can't believe I didn't spot it but we were out at dinner today to add confusion and everything seemed so plausible, except the COURIER TURNING UP BEFORE the phone was delivered!! 😁

Thanks to the answerers, due gratitude is extended to you...

Chap I worked with had this but the phones were from Three - he'd not long upgraded the family sim only plans and then got a call saying he could get a new iPhone!
