I don't know what is going on here and I'm not sure I believe it, but a thread has appeared elsewhere saying that O2 Webmail will be closing at the end of the year according to an O2 Web Chat advisor.
Maybe Chiara could check this out as people using this service may need to make other arrangements.

I haven't got an email yet.
Has any former customer of O2 Broadband who still uses their o2.co.uk mailbox got an email yet?

Same here, I found out in this thread which I started after seeing the post in the Thinkbroadband forum.

So far I've only had one email for the unused address assigned with the (mobile) phone contract.
Nothing on the legacy (ex genie) address used for notifications on the broadband though not an associated account.

Had the email sent to both my O2 email addresses dated yesterday.
Not really fussed as the only time I used it was when O2's network went down to use email to phone via another network
Less then 6 months time I wont have anything to do with O2

I haven't had an email from O2 yet, apart from monthly bills.
