Change of email address issues

Anonymous
Not applicable

Good evening,

I'm trying to change my email address but cannot seem to find any obvious place to do it.  I've changed my username/login to my new email address but I'm still receiving my emails to my old address.  I've tried live chat but it seems that I manage to connect, sometimes I even get a 'Hi how can I help?' message, and then a 'chat not initialised' error is displayed and that's the end of that.

I understand that the email address forms part of your account, but if I can get someone to change it on my behalf, which is what seems to be the case based on stuff I've read on other forums, then why not make this function available to us?

Perhaps I'm just missing the obvious.  Can I change it via the website? I am currently unable to ring, so this is getting a bit frustrating.

Any help anyone can give will be appreciated.

Possibly Live Chat can be of assistance.

I spoke to Toby recently about changing my e mail address due to delayed e mail notifications and he did suggest things were not that easy to accomplish.

You used to be able to change it via My O2 but that option has now disappeared since they updated the pages.

Quite true jonsie.

I had a look too but it seems to have gone now 😞

Live chat isn't working for them, according to the fist post.

Thanks for the advice, I know my circumstances are a bit odd.  I've PMed Toby, and see if there's anything he can do.

Fingers crossed!

I had this problem. Just start a online chat with an O2 rep and they will sort it, they did for me.

Probably just a blip or a pop up blocker is affecting live chat. It's been working fine for me today.

As we sometimes say just don't try once go back for a second or even third try. wink

It seems to be hit and miss if not connecting from the UK just lately and I am assuming the OP is off-shore at the moment.....?

Why do O2 remove things like this from the users control they are just creating more work for themselves and annoying customers in the process
