Windows Phone to computer

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi again

I have Windows 8.1 on my computer (8.0 on my Nokia 625).

I am told by my computer that if I just plug my phone in, then all pics, info, videos will be shown and automaticaly copied/transferred to my computer ('See what's on your phone', it says...).

But there are some short videos included in emails sent to me that have not downloaded.

What am I doing wrong?

There are times when it is much easier for someone to show you rather than try and describe it in words....
Can you get into an O2 store or Carphonewarehouse where one of the staff could show you on your phone ?

You would need to download and save the vids from your email - at the moment, they are not on your phone.

Hi MI5

I have viewed them, played them, so doesn't that mean they are downloaded?

Sadly not, unless you specifically told the phone to save them.

Thanks to you both.

Now I am confused 'cos I can't find them on my phone...Smiley Frustrated

Do they just disappear after a while if I don't save them?

They should only disappear if you delete the email to which they are attached. If you still have the email(s) simply save the attachments to the phone.

Or if they are still in your email, just access your email on your PC and save them directly to it which would be far easier! slight_smile

Your phone may only store x number of days of emails hence why the emails no longer show up on your phone. if you login to your email on the PC you will probably find that they are there.

OK. This is doing my head in...

Taking everything into account via your replies. I have saved the emails into my saved folder (on my phone) only to find that every time I want to view them, I have to wait while it downloads them again......Smiley Frustrated

And, even after being 'saved', my computer doesn't pick them up...

I am obviously doing something wrong, or my settings are incorrect, but I can't see what?

It's not the email you have to save, it is the attachment within the email.
Download the pic or vid and then save the content to your phone.
