I have a iPhone simplicity contract with unlimited texts. I noticed charges being applied to my account under Texts so contacted 02. They said I had sent two MMS messages which I hadn't. They said they were sent to 000000000001234. It wasn't me so they credited my account for the cost incurred.

Anyone else had this?

I have an iPhone on a pay monthly contract and I have been charged for a mms message to the same number.

Thanks for that. Worth keeping a copy of this post in case of future bill disputes as it will show a pattern and the fact that they are not individual one offs. Clearly the explanation for mine can't be tru as the iPhone locks automatically and you have to unlock to use the MMS facility.

Is it possible that a couple of emails have been sent as mms?
Not sure if this is possible even, but its strange that they are showing as the same reference 000000000001234?

If that is the case, how do I stop it happening. Any emails with attachments should be free as part of my internet connection package. How many bites of the cherry do O2 want ?

I am on Simplicity tariff and MMS comes out of my 1200n text. 4 text = 1 MMS

Not for new customers it don't !. Joined in April and disscovered this fact on these forums.

I have had one of these last month and already have four of these this month, its a complete pain and takes about 15minutes to explain to the customer services what happening to get a refund which I am not even sure if it went through.

I have only ever uploaded 2 photo's to facebook, 1 to twitter and a handful of emailed photo's.

Customer services tried to palm me off saying they are acccident MMS to random people. I asked her to disable MMS completely for my account and she said it wasnt possible.

They should either disable it on request or offer a no quibble refund if these sort of non functioning numbers crop up on MMS.
Might now be worth bring up with my local trading standards office.

Am having exactly the same problem regarding 000000000001234 mms messages being charged to I phone. 02need to sort it out!
