Slingbox O2 blocking over 4G / 3G ??

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi guys

I have a slingbox and all works fine. Apart from on O2 and over a 4G or 3G network on my iPhone 6. I know it's not my router settings or home network because I have another iPhone a version 5 that works over 3G on EE.

This did use to work until about a month ago over O2 network have there been any changes recently?

There is no one on here with the knowledge of o2 systems to answer your question.
The only chance you've got is if @Toby can find out for you.

@ Toby thanks. I'm on another sling box forum and they seem to think its an O2 issue this might help:-

Its an O2 issue, as the only thing that you need to check is the port ofrwarding on your router, but if it works on another 3G provider im sure your router is configured

Your problem is most likely an O2 network restriction.

We use portforwarding to set up Ip cameras for remote viewing on mobile phones and O2 is the only network which cannot access the video stream through the http ports set up in the cameras. We have to use the RTSP stream for any chance of viewing cameras on an O2 network smartphone.

Been fully tested, swapped sims on many devices, it's only O2 where the stream is blocked!

I'm not familiar with slingbox but if there are alternative port options then that's where you may find the answer.
