Hi I am with O2 nearly 4 years I am getting 30% friends and family discount on my monthly phone tariff, I am due for upgrades soon but now O2 has got phone plan price + airplane price=monthly cost and now o2 said to me you will get 30% on airtime plan not on whole monthly bill off 30%, This not fair

Hi guys, MI5 is correct in this case. The discounts are from different schemes. Full O2 Open Ts & Cs are here:

Before that it use to be one monthly cost tariff, is this better for customers

It's better in the sense that when you want to upgrade the phone you just have to pay off the phone plan and can get a new phone whenever you like

My upgrade is due on 22/06/14 and I am on £43 month tariff and I get discount 30% so my bill comes to about £30, say if I don't upgrade and keep it sim only will I have to pay less then £30 as affected with new tariffs ?

The 30% discount doesn't apply to sim only so if you go for sim only you will have to pay full price on whichever one you choose there are a lot under £30 a month though

Sorry Damien1 but that is incorrect.

F&F can be applied to SIMO tariffs...@ 30%

F&F can be applied to refresh tariffs (@50% off airtime only)

So @Anonymous you will see that now you get 50% off a refresh airtime rather than 30% off whole contract price wink

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
