with Android 4.3 rumoured to be coming out as early as next week, how long do you guys reckon it will take to reach devices outside of the nexus devices?

If you have a branded O2 phone it could be some time. It would have to be tweaked by Sony, and then tested by O2, so I wouldn't be holding my breath, if I were you.
