No signal around Mottingham station/between London Bridge and Lewisham station

I am writing to report issues with my mobile network connection while travelling on Southeastern trains between Sidcup and Charing Cross. Specifically, I have experienced no signal in two areas:

  • Around Mottingham station (within around 2min of train distance)
  • Between London Bridge and Lewisham station

There is also no Wi-Fi available on the trains in these areas. I am wondering if this is a known problem and if O2 is working with Southeastern to improve mobile coverage on their trains.

In the meantime, I would appreciate any advice you might have for maintaining a connection during my commute.

@wenx

You need to use the My Network app to report issues https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/my-network

May already be reported here http://status.o2.co.uk/

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

This is a customer to customer Community so we can't answer your question.

Also other than reporting Customer Services will have little information other than that found online.

Try https://status.o2.co.uk/

And Download the My Network App where you can report problems

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

You will be very fortunate indeed if you get a callback.

London Bridge is still being shown as having problems in the My Network App

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Ah, yes, on the much lamented O2 Guru Service: The Guru branding was phased out from O2 stores in 2022. The reason cited at the time was that staff in O2 stores had been up-skilled to cover all the work that Gurus could previously take care of.

And yes, O2 usually renege on call-back offers, unless you are talking to the Social Media team, link below has the ways, @wenx. Good luck!

I don't think that they will be much help @wenx in your particular case, but you could read and work through the following :-

Guide: How can I sort out my network issues?

Guide: Is the network down for me or everyone?
