Voice mail number

I have a very basic Nokia phone that only does calls and texts. I received a voicemal and when I tried to listen to it I was asked to input my voicemail number first, i mistakenly  thought this meant my mobile number. There is no  option anywhere in my phone to 're set voicemal number' or anything similar. Will I need to contact o2 directly?

Having just re read your post the number to dial is 901 to retrieve VM's - Is this what you wanted?

I think you were right the first time, I read it twice and he does say he heard the message asking for his pin, which he calls his number.
