Pay and Go Tariff Abroad

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi,

I have a Pay and Go O2 sim with a £10 monthly tariff. For the next 2 months I am in the USA travelling. I am taking my phone with me but can't see any point in having the monthy tariff come off and not being able to use the texts/calls/data because of my location. Is there any way I can suspend the tariff while I am away? Or even cancel it if need be? I can't find anything on the O2 website. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Just don't top it up. Nothing will happen apart from not getting your allowances. Top up when you come back and allowances wilol start from that date. Cancel auto top up if that's what you have.

If you still need to add credit because you intend to use the phone, call CS on 4445 and ask them to switch you to the o2 basic tariff. When you return you can call again to go back onto a big bundle.

Make sure your phone is unlocked before you go so you can use a local US sim while you're over there. Either that or get a Three Pay & Go sim to use while you're there.
