No coverage all day.

Hope this is in the right part of the forum.

Live just north of Chichester, West Sussex. We've had no network coverage for the entire day, still "No Service" now.

Spoke to a bot on the O2 chat who said there was work being carried out in the area. But a whole day with no service is too much, and work wether scheduled or not, ought to be shown on the website.

Also, there is no 3G from here as far north as Haslemere, west as far as Petersfield, and east as far as Horsham. Shouldn't such a huge hole in the 3G network be addressed before rolling out 4G? This is almost my entire work area and I can't even look up the local council etc.. My workmates think I'm crazy sticking with O2.

Off to 3 or EE come December.

I've just checked all those locations here:

http://status.o2.co.uk/

and nothing has been reported, you can only get O2 to look at it for you.

The 4G improvements are also bringing upgrades to 2G and 3G so it's good that they're being rolled out together.

Hi

Try switching to 2g to see if this improves what your getting.

Tugo, Viber and Whatsapp are interim alternatives.

Remove your sim and wipe it and keep re booting your phone.

Service Status Link to monitor your masts.

http://status.o2.co.uk/

O2 are improving their network with the 4g roll out, which will improve 2g and 3g network signal too.

However i agree you must go to where you are going to get a stable signal where you live, work and commute.

Just check out the other Networks via payg sims just to ensure their cover is decent.

Yup. O2 have said there's work being carried out, but it's not listed in the status schedules, hence me joining the community here. I think they should add it to the listings.

Rebooted phones several times, tried switching to airplane mode to force a signal search. Nothing. No hint of coverage either 2G or otherwise. Just "No Service" listed on top of iPhones screens.

Really isn't good enough. At least I should be able to go the the status monitor, enter my postcode, and see that there is work being carried out.

I do feel for you.

My signal has been intermittent over the last few months too.

Like the other Networks O2 cover this in their Terms & Conditions.

I hope you regain service asap.

I agree it took us a few years to get the status page, now they need to keep it up to date.

I'm not sure you would want to read the terms and conditions though! slight_frown

Don't go to 3, if you've previously complained about O2 having rubbish customer service, you'll be unpleasantly shocked by 3.

A few years back Dad and I were both with them, and because we both have the initials R Allen, 3 thought we're both the same person! Mad innit?

O2 consistently do well in customer service surveys, and I know 3 don't. However, if all customer service means is picking up the phone and being able to chat to someone, then I disagree. Customer service should be the whole service the customer receives. In the case of O2, most of my service is missing, in fact today ALL my service is missing. Still got 2 dead phones here.

So, EE over 3 then?
