A 5300mAh battery would give me around another 2-3 days between charges.

The biggest problem I think is, the more power given to a handset, OEM software vendors fill them up bloatware to show off how much more of it, it can handle.

If a mini fusion reactor was placed inside to power it someone would still complain about battery life. Which is normally after a firmware update wink

The resolution of that screen in a 5" size will be horrible, but that's how they manage the battery life.....

Batteries will get bigger, processing power requirements are getting less and with more co-processors being included into chipsets and on SOC. So in could happen that in the near future, we get the option of high-end efficient smartphones that in moderate use can last up to 3 or 4 days without being charged.
