I had the same problem and went into file explorer and deleted the crap that downloaded when i sideloaded an apk. I still had the download from unknown souces ticked but sorted now thankfully.

Cards are just related to Google Now which I use and don't give me any problems.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Should be a lesson learned to not let anyone 'play' with your phone. If you do, you could wind up with more than just a little crapware.:smileywink:

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Thanks everyone.  I think it may have been a theme from the theme store as it hasn't happened since I went back to default. I'll be much more vigilant with permissions now x

Google now cards weren't my problem definitely. I had to go through the files and delete those responsible.

File explorer is very confusing to me @jonsie  ..  wouldn't know where to start looking for those cards lol. I deleted everything new from the last 2 weeks but it's gone now thank god lol . I looked around and those battery status false lockscreen ads are common..and just stupidly annoying lol x
