Value Added Tax

My wife and I have just changed our mobiles to the Samsung core and agreed to a Tarrif of £13.60 reduced from £16.00 with 1GB Data, 1000 Minutes & unlimited Texts monthly. What O2 sales assistance failed to tell us is that VAT is added to this which now puts our monthly bill above the original price band of £16.00.We were originally paying a Tarrif of £11.24 and we explained that we didn't mind paying a couple of pounds extra, but as you can see this is know more than £5.00 . We are not happy at all with not being informed of the VAT.

All tariffs on consumer contracts include VAT. Your first bill is always a little higher than normal on a new contract as you pay for the first few deays until the bill is produced.

Your discount will be showed as a bolt on.

If you are still within the 14 day cooling off period you could cancel and look for a better deal elsewhere @Anonymous

Thanks but we are out off the 14 day period, just wish that the staff explained everything in full. It doesn't even mention the VAT in the advertisement in the shop. Thanks for advise.

I agree it is frustrating as it will seem like a hidden cost......

There is no hidden cost unless the OP has been put on a business account.

It appears as a 'hidden cost' to the OP though ...as he was unaware of the price after vat, Hence my comment
