Although I wasn't keen in their selling style structures in store (pushy reps) I'm sad to see people may lose jobs and a competitor is possibly lost off the high street.

According to BBC news this morning...the reason for liquidation was due to networks pulling out of giving contracts to Phone4 U... According to a telecomms expert P4U ran out of suppliers..

It was stated however that existing customers are contracted to the networks so have no problem. Same with those who have insurance...as that is via a third party....

Customers who have ordered ANY phone and not yet received it...will have to wait and see ....sadly...:smileysad:

It is hoped that someone will step in to buy the company

It is considered most likely that BT Group are the most likely bidders for the group as BT are looking to start their own mobile business for consumers so for the moment there is hope for some of the 5596 staff at risk.

We can only wish them well and hope BT do indeed acquire the chain without too much streamlining and cutbacks.
