iPhone 6 new sim?

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi all.
I have ordered an iPhone 6 for my other half as a suprise gift. She currently has an iPhone 5. Is it a simple case of swapping the sim out of her 5 into the 6 and then going through the setup?

Thanks for any help

Yes, make sure she backs up to itunes first to transfer everything over. Check she may need a 4G sim though.

Yes

If You use iCloud then you can download all the settings and data direct to the iPhone 6

Thanks both. Yes she uses icloud so that helps. Re the the sim, there is no 4g where live but if we wanted to swap the sim is it possible to swap her phone number to a sim that is 4g enabled? I assume I can get those from an O2 store?

Thanks

Yes. All the new ones are 4G

It takes from a few minutes to approximately 24 hours to settle after the simswap

You'll need her original sim with you as a code gets sent to it.

The O2 shop can perform the
Sim swap for you.

As 4g is not vital now she can do that at any time in her leisure......
