I had brought Apple AirPods Max and sent the back as I no longer wanted them. However it has been 3 nearly 4 months and no refund. I keep being told a manager will contact me but this has not happened. They keep saying they will check with their back office why I haven’t gotten refunded but still no contact. I will have no choice but to file a police report if there is no resolution

Please do not waste your time going to the police ; they will simply say that it is a civil issue rather than a criminal matter.

@MI5 has suggested that you persevere with O2 ; if that does not work within say a week or two, please update this thread for further advice. 👍
