iPhone 6 and o2 Open discount code

Hello All,

 

I have been given a 02 Open code from a friend, today I went into a o2 store to pre-order the iPhone 6 and was told the open code cannot be applied to iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus because o2 are delaying the open code discount for iphone 6 and iphone 6 plus handsets. Is this true??

 

I don't see that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus is not mentioned in o2 open code discount terms and conditions - http://www.o2.co.uk/termsandconditions/rewards/o2-open-terms-and-conditions

Only took about 2 months, 2 year ago for Open discount to be applied to iPhone 5!

Spoke to someone in CS on 202 and advised will not be offering Open Discount on new iPhone 6!

They never allow it for a few months after launch.

I spoke to someone in store yesterday who said that the discount will be available in January! Not sure if its true as they also said an open code could be applied within 90 daysof the contract start date. Maybe a case of staff talking rubbish.

Eh? I was just getting it through my head that this was always 6 months with the iPhone.... now a lot of conflicting stories are confusing me ...and everyone else I would imagine slight_frown

I can almost believe January, if supply has stabilised but no way am I buying the 90 days rubbish - Check the T&C's and it clearly states 30 days and that has always been backed up by O2 employees on here too.
