Iphone 6 plus mic probles

 Had my phone for about 7 weeks now. Love phone but can't use it for this purpose.  When I'm on a call the party at the other end cannot hear me (either distorted or as if I've hit the mute button).  Been into Apple who say there no problem with either the soft or hardware o the phone. So I'm stuck.  Just wondering if it could be a network fault.

Hi all thanks for the replies. I have removed case and screen protector to no avail. Happens regardless of where I am calling from or who I am calling. I have reset phone to factory settings. Changed various setting but still having problems. Apple Genius desk tested phone and said it ok. 02 say I have to contact cpw and they say they would sent it back to apple and may take 28 days for return. In any event I'm reluctant to do this anyway as my phone is only 6 weeks old and my understanding is apple would only replace with a reconditioned one. So still trying to sort out.

I tried another sim in phone which did the same. It appears to be intermittent on a ratio of about 60/40 split.
