Samsung S3 charging problems

Anyone know of any issues charging the S3. I have bought a new battery and charger but cannot get it to charge. Help please 😞

Yes, that should charge your battery OK but it's worth seeing if it will be covered by warranty first ?

Where did you buy the battery and charger from? Are they genuine Samsung?

Have you done any firmware updates recently? 

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Check your charging port is clean and undamaged.
Also check your battery in another phone to see if it charges - just to make sure battery is OK....
Some new batteries might come with tape over the contacts so check that too.

I think it may be the charging port that has the issue. I hace changed battery back to the original and tried charging but nothing seems to be getting to the phone

They can get stuffed with fluff so you could try cleaning it out with a toothbrush or toothpick. Unfortunately, they can also get damaged quite easily too esp if someone tries to force in the charger the wrong way up or something like that.

Sadly, if cleaning the port doesn't help, it will probably have to go back to Samsung or O2.
