Samsung Galaxy 4 Mini

Have just upgraded to this phone and still getting used to it.  My call sim has been transferred but my list of numbers have not been, do I have to do this manually?

I don't have a simple facility for having a password to protect the phone, is the only way to use the Samsung encrypt function?

It is very different from my former neat little phone but got to move on!

Thanks Claudia T

Hi

If you make a google account you can store the contact numbers in GMail.

What phone were you using.

We're did you store your numbers.

They will hopefully be in your phones memory so you could type them in manually to your new phone if there's not a lot of them !

You can set a sim pin so no one can use your sim in another phone.

If your contacts were on your old sim card you'll probably have to retype them manually.
Once saved to the new phone, however, they will sync with your Google account (if you don't have one you will need one) and will be forever accessible to any new phone you get in the future.
I wouldn't suggest you use Samsung encryption just yet.
A simple lock screen PIN will suffice for now.
