You can use the new o2 travel unlimited data for £1.99 a day if you have contract sim (or take out a rolling one month simplicity tariff).....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

I must admit to being a little confused over this one?

If the OP has a Tab with O2, is it possible to unlock it to insert a local (Greece) sim in? What happens then when he returns from Greece? Will his original O2 sim work...

Yes, the UK sim will still work fine.

The unlock will just allow any network sim to be used @Cleoriff

I'm the old days if someone force
Unlocked a device then it could stand the possibility of no longer working on the original network anymore.

Thanks...one more query...

Is there a certain period of time you need to have had your O2 device BEFORE you can unlock it?

Not for contract phones (newly launched iPhones aside) but 12 months for PAYG phones.
I honestly don't know if tablets fall into that restriction though....?

Be very careful on the north eastern coast of kos, the Turkish 3G signal is stronger than the Greek Islands signal and will be outside of euro charges if connected.
