The update for unlocked devices is being rolled out in the UK.

Guess this is one reason why android users get frustrated vs apple - updates take forever to come through

Not really, Android users can, if they wish, put virtually any ROM on their phones.

There are also many more different pieces of hardware to write a ROM for on Android so naturally it takes longer than just having to write for one device - Apple don't even get that correct all the time either.....

Android takes longer because manufacturers give us, the customers, choice.

Yes Apple do push their updates out quicker. And based on current models you get two choices and that is it.

So I guess we pays our money and we takes our choices.

I agree we get lots more flexibility, just would be good to get upgrades more frequently.
Still prefer android though!

Amen to that. We get the flexibility which is far more important to me than the speed of updates.
