I have an LG G5 and when the QuadRooter app is run it gives the result:-

Surely it's not the fact that it's an LG. Its an Android issue affecting many makes and models if you read the initial article...........

Which is why Samsung have already addressed this issue. It's up to other manufacturers to implement security surely. ..

I think what he means is that other manufacturers have created and released a fix while LG haven't...

I'll try not to be as rude as you are.......

As already stated, Samsung have pushed a fix. 2 people (you included) have stated LG haven't addressed the issue - I'm fully aware it's an android issue, but it's down to the manufacturers to patch their own devices.

Not sure when the update was sent out by Samsung, but at some point the article would have been correct in that any phones with the Qualcomm chips were at risk.
If Samsung have been quick off the mark then they may have released the updated BEFORE the article was published, so not all phones would be affected.
