My sim only contract ends in approx 2 weeks time. Im going to leave O2 to a different carrier and keep my number. My original plan was to request the pac code on the day after my contract ends to avoid early termination fees (although INFO said I only owe 5 quid at the moment). I've seen a lot of forums now suggesting that 30 days notice is still required due to the 30 day rolling kicking in. Can anyone tell me the most cost effective way of keeping my number and ditching O2?

Should I request the pac code now for example pay the 5 quid and move on or is it not that simple. I've never been so confused over any of this before. O2s information i find to be really confusing and no details specific to your contract available in your account.

Thank you

If it is only 2 weeks you can request your PAC code now

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Your final bill (which will include the £5) will be generated when the PAC is used by your new network.

O2 will claim this on your normal billing date by your direct debit so leave it in place with your bank until all is cleared.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
