Hi there,

I am looking to upgrade my sim only plan via moneysupermarket. When i click the link and go through o2 i select the correct number to upgrade but then i get a message saying this:

There’s a change to your benefits

Sorry, as you're no longer eligible for supercharge benefits your new plan won't include Volt boosts like double data and travel benefits.

Does this mean by upgrading i lose all volt benefits? I have Virgin broadband still and nothing with my virgin media is changing, Just purely upgrading the sim and this message shows.

Your benefits will be reinstated in around 14 days time or you can request the addition in your MyO2 after the upgrade is complete.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Hi MI5

thank you for the reply.

Have you got any idea why I get greeted with that message anyway?

A friend of mine who has upgraded their sim said when they got to the same page I did they had a message box saying congrats you will receive the following volt benefits etc.

Any changes will automatically cancel the Volt benefits on a temporary basis.

I just did similar and received a confirmation after the order was completed that my benefits would be reinstated.

Interesting. In March I went through USwitch as an upgrade. There was no message and my Volt Benefits were immediately transferred.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

So were mine, as I said above.

The message is probably something new as I only did mine last week and got it.

I too got this message this evening. Did you proceed and if so, have you got a confirmation email yet? Thanks!

@philze1

You are presumably asking that of @Michael08 ; if so, you need to tag him thus ! 👍
