Have a look at this

http://www.o2.co.uk/help/pay-and-go/big-bundles

Your anniversary date

This is the date that you first top up, and will be the day that your Big Bundle resets.

When we take the first month's payment for your Big Bundle, you'll get your inclusive monthly minutes, texts and data, which will be valid for 1 calendar month (until midnight of the day before your monthly anniversary date).

Each time your anniversary date arrives, we'll try to take the next month's payment. If successful, you'll get your monthly amount of minutes, texts and data. If we can't take payment, then you'll need to top up before you'll be able to get your Big Bundle. As soon as you do this, and we can take a payment, you'll get your Big Bundle allowance.

I believe the pay and go bundles are on a monthly date basis.
If you get your bundle on the 20th, you get the bundle reset on the following 20th credit allowing.
