I want to change the card/account that my monthly payments come out of - Do I have to do this through customer services over the phone, or can I do it online?

You can do it in your My O2 but you need to set up a PIN first.
Go here http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2 then the bills tab and follow the instructions.
