using O2 Pocket Hotspot device in Europe

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

I have an O2 Pocket Hotspot device on PAYG.  I want to use it to connect my Laptop to mobile WiFi while on holiday in Europe.  I understand I can buy credit for £1.99 a day for roaming cost but can't seem to find how to do this.  Can anyone point me in the right direction.  I don't use the O2 network for my mobile phone (I'm on Giff Gaff) I just want to use the Pocket hotspot which i bought from O2.

Many thanks

Plenty of info here...

I think you just need to put a sim in there and top up with sufficient credit for the duration of your holiday or use a pay monthly sim.

I'm not sure you will get good speeds roaming and your data usage slows right down. I believe on o2 travel it's stated as 50 mb on P&G and 100 mb on monthly each day for your £1.99.

Personally I would try a local sim in it or use wifi only.

You can manage your device from www.mbb.o2.co.uk whilst connected via the dongle.
Not 100% sure if this is just to buy UK allowances though?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
