Anonymous
Not applicable

on 6/10/14 i got an upgrade from my current contract to a new iphone 6, i have a sim in my phone but it says sim card not provisioned, now i was told it would take up to 24 hours to register, but its been at least 30 hours now and still nothing, obviously at this current time (01:12am) i can't call support. So does anyone have a work around?

Thanks

Joe

For some reason, everyone is having to do a sim swap this year http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Hi joe and Welcome to the Community Forum

I assume your previous SIM card was not a Nano sized one.

Have you performed the Swap my Sim Procedure via this link http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk which moves your tariff and mobile number from the old sim to the new one ?

It usually takes from a few minutes to approximately 24 hours to settle. Turning airplane mode on and off helps the re connection.

You will know when it's started as the service will first stop on your original SIM card.

If you have performed the swap then if it's still not completed your new sim may be faulty or theirs delays on the network. Try turning the phone off and on or use airplane mode to see if that starts the reconnection.

Phone O2 on 202 or contact live chat to see if the change is progressing.

http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

You can visit any O2 shop and they'll perform the swap for you Instore with a new sim ,or customer service can post you a new one.

Let us know how you get on please.

Nice choice of phone.

Sometimes if you leave your old handset turned off and keep restarting the new it can help push through the connection.

Make sure Airplane mode is turned off and that you are in a good signal area.
