Calendar not opening Blackberry Bold 990

I recently changed phones from a curve 8530 to bold 9900.  When I switched over the calendar worked, once.  Now it won't open at all.   When I click on it nothing happens, the screen freezes and I have to switch off and on again to unfreeze it.

I wiped the phone and started over and it worked again until other things got signed into such as BBM and app world, then it wouldn't work again.

On start up I get a message that says "uncaught exception application.  net_rim_bb_calendar_app (409) is not responding process terminated"

I have no idea how to fix this or what is causing the problem.  Can anyone help with this

First thing to try is to pull the battery out with the phone switched ON.

Second reinstall your OS.

Thirdly, if you use it, windows live messenger is known to cause conflicts, so remove it and try again.
