Will a new Sim give me a new Number?

The phone I have was a work one, which I reset back to factory settings.

If I buy a new Sim will that provide me a new number and allow use of Phone, Texts and browsing?

Yes but if you get a PAC you can transfer your number from a different network or just transfer an existing O2 number of you wish to.
