Such an absolute tragedy. I love tennis and had high hopes of this lass when she came on the scene

Despite her illness she competed in the 2012 Olympics

She was a real fighter to the end..... R.I.P Elena

Life isn't fair I know that, but I'm a Wimbledon fan & have been since I was a little girl

I remember her coming onto the British tennis scene at Wimbledon
