Unlock old Alcatel phone locked to VirginMedia

Hi

Since all virgin-mobile users are being shifted over to O2, I wanted to know if anyone has experience of getting an old mobile phone unlocked.

I have an alcatel OT-916 which is locked to VirginMedia, I've been trying to get the codes to unlock it but I'm being push around to different departments or directed to links that don't exist.

Has Anyone successfully got an old phone unlocked and what was the process?

Telling people not to respond if they dont have a solution is not a good look for a new poster on a CUSTOMER TO CUSTOMER COMMUNITY

You will need to speak to Virgin Media... I would give you there number but you can use google to find it.

As it was locked by Virgin Media they are the only one who can unlock it.

However, I've been informed by them their codes only go back seven years.

If you want it unlocking then one of the multiple phone repair shops is your best bet.
