Recurrent calls from Sales girl

Hi 

I keep getting phone calls every 2-3 days informing me that they can reduce my O2 bills. I am on a Monthly Discount Contract and pay £12 a month. They keep offering a new package. I am not sure they are genuine. How can I find out whether the person is not not a Con artist?

It's a well known scam.
Forward the scam number to 7726 - It's free.
