I’ve just moved over from Vodafone to a sim only contract, my number ported today!
Although I seem to always have a decent signal with o2 I use my phone a lot for streaming radio apps in my car, with o2 it seems to stop and buffer a lot using the absolute radio app, it did work pretty well when I was on Vodafone, before then I was with Three and even they did a much better job with streaming on the radio apps in the car whilst driving! 😩😩

It all depends where you are some places are better than others, and I find where I am o2 is better than Vodafone ... Investment is coming to improve bandwidth available and also upgrades masts.. But this is slowed thanks to the B word, and also the queue to get hold of infrastructure....

I always recommend before moving networks, get some PAYG sims and test coverage and data speeds where you use the phone most.

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

You get 14 days to change your mind.

Do it before it's too late.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Made the same mistake as you buddy. Of the big four providers, O2 is dead last. Not that it’s bad, just not as good as the rest, as the others have simply been rolling out 5G quicker
