I got my Xperia delivered yesterday, after already having one for only 5 days before the screen stopped working.. I paid 220 pound to get it fixed, O2 text me to tell me they couldn't repair it therefore would send me a replacement.. However the replacement they've sent me is completely broken as everytime I press the sleep button and go to use it minutes late.. The entire screen goes black and turns itself off and back on.. It does this everytime I come off my phone!!

I would get back on to customer service as the unit appears to be faulty. You shouldn't have to start doing resets on a replacement phone. 

I don't understand the part where you  paid £220 to have it repaired but they sent you a replacement. This would imply a refurbished phone?

Hi @Anonymous

I would strongly suggest you contact O2 Customer Services which is 202 for Contract -> 4445 for PAYG -> http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus asap to ask them to replace the unit.

It could be a few things that is wrong from software to hardware. It could be something like a proximity sensor.

Not something that is reasonable to have on a replacement phone.

Please let us know how you get on.

Please take time / date stamped pictures of the phone before you send it off to prove its condition just incase anything happens in transit to it etc.

I'm confused as to why the OP paid £220 at all? If the phone was only five days old, they should have just been given a new phone.
