Hi sorry I forgot to mention: I've tried to unlock through the My O2 app, My O2 website and even filled out the form a couple of times over the months, and each time been told that O2 can't unlatch my device until the contract is paid off.

I've read here before that O2 usually make iPhones available for unlocking about 6 months after release i.e. when a new model is released.
