Did as MI5 suggested, there were fifty tabs open in the Samsung browser which weren't closing using the tab icon so deleted each one individually. Many thanks for all your suggestions.

Being thick I misread the change to be made to the animation parameters as 5 instead of .5 then wondered why it was slower.

Bearing in mind that shipping time from the Far East is around 4 weeks, that would take us to April. If release is mid-April it is likely that o2 have already ordered both versions of the phones which would explain why both are shown as "coming soon"...
