Can anyone tell me how I might block incurring any additional costs relating to the making or receiving of calls that fall outwith my monthly call plan?

o2 do not offer this sort of service it is down to the user to monitor there account and keep with your limits.

U can ask O2 to restrict premium numbers and texts.

But u may want to try....

U can do company and number searches for a NORMAL number. Not all companies are and not all companies use a standard line.
